Ordinary people with very little internet marketing experience can and are achieving fantastic results. There's no reason you can't too!

Begin to write articles and post
Sign up for affiliate programs
Put Adsense on your Blog
Write more articles and posts...and more...and more..on and on...don't quit!

Basic Affiliate Marketing ...With a Twist!

(Read through this article carefully, you'll find the twist at the end.)

Ok, so let's start your basic affiliate marketing lesson by creating a free blog. There are a number of free blogging sites, but to start we’ll use Blogger. It's simple to set up and you can easily add "Adsense" for additional revenue generation.

Go to Blogger.com and create an account.
You'll want to name your blog, but don't. Not Yet.
You need to make sure your products fit both your interests and the market. You want to make sure you can sell the product line you decide to represent.
Conduct keyword research to find what your potential customers are looking for.

There are a number of free tools available, including one you can use at wordtracker.com.

Be sure you find very high demand keywords, in a niche you are very interested in. Will that be sports? health and fitness?...In reality, it can be anything. Just be sure others are interested too, or you won't be able to draw enough traffic to your blog to make any money.

By now, you've probably figured out, you make money from basic affiliate marketing when people find their way to you. It is a numbers game and traffic is the key!

Found your keyword?...That is your niche. OK. Now go name your blog. Use your keyword in your blog name.

Ok, now you can find the products in your niche to market. You can go to clickbank.com (if you're interested in selling e-books, or software.) or Commission Junction (cj.com) if you want to represent a greater variety of products, including hard goods. Go ahead and sign up for a free account. There are a number of other sites offering a variety of products, here's comprehensive affiliate directory network listing.

Now you've got your blog and you know the products you are going to represent, you'll want to start marketing. Start by writing articles with content related to your product list. Create 3 to 5 good articles, each should be between 400-750 words. Post them on your blog. Then rewrite them slightly and submit them to article directories. A good place to start is ezinearticles.com.

When you write your articles, again be sure to find a keyword your potential customers would use to find your product. Be sure the demand is high, and ideally, it would not have a lot of competition. But for now, don't worry about how much competition you have. If you post articles and keep your blog current, you will begin to receive traffic.

Ok, so there you have it...Simple, basic affiliate marketing.

Sounds simple right?

Put time and effort into writing your articles and posting regularly on your blog to develop more and more traffic. But don’t’ be fooled, to be successful, you’ll need to keep posting and writing articles. It takes work and time, and consistency. Search engines will love the fresh new content you are adding. To keep traffic coming you'll need to add 2 to 3 articles a week.

By the way, did you notice, you can start your basic affiliate marketing business with no money?

Well maybe not.

Before you jump into the blogging frenzy to start your affiliate marketing business, there's something I've left out, you should know.

According to Google Analytics 101, April 2008...

"Blogs usually have high Bounce Rates no matter what since normal visitor behavior is to read the newest post and then leave."
